Medal presentation - U21 lightweight single. Lucy is featured in the middle.

Lucy Trembearth competed in the VIC State Rowing Championships in March this year. Trembearth performed exceptionally well, taking home a GOLD in the lightweight Women's single scull, a SILVER in the open Women's double scull and a SILVER in the A grade Women's single scull. Trembearth explains "It was a great weekend at Nagambie, and the last selection activity for the interstate Victorian team competing at the 2013 Nationals in 2 weeks".
Her achievements scored her a place in the Interstate Lightweight Women's quad. It was Trembearth's first ever time in the event and she was placed alongside Alice McNamara and Hannah Clarke, two open lightweight Australian representatives.  Lucy Trembearth competed in the Nationals in Penrith only 2 weeks later and performed to a very high standard. Trembearth was awarded the title of U21 lightweight single scull and U23 lightweight quad scull Australian champion! Trembearth says "I had such a great regatta and loved representing Victoria in the lightweight interstate quad scull for the first time!" She will be travelling to Penrith again in July for national team selection - the U21 national team.
We are very proud of Trembearth who is doing an exceptional job juggling the pressures of uni with her sporting achievements. We wish her all the very best for the national team selection.
