Health Sciences NHMRC funding success

A huge congratulations to Professor Christine Imms, Head of School, Allied and Public Health who has been awarded an NHMRC Partnership Projects Grant of $865,853 for her research project “The best service at the best time: Improving the implementation of research for children with cerebral palsy.” This was the highest amount awarded in this specific round, and the grant will be administered by ACU.

Following last year’s success, Professor Sandy Middleton will act as a collaborator on the project “Very Early Rehabilitation in Speech: An RCT of aphasia therapy after stroke”, a grant worth $742,000 and administered by Edith Cowan University.

These are outstanding results that emphasise ACU’s increasing presence, developing reputation and acknowledged gravitas in research. ACU is extremely proud of its researchers and the diversity and impact of their projects.
