Exercise Science courses now accredited

We are extremely pleased to announce our Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science degree and our Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology degree have received accreditation through the National University Course Accreditation Program conducted by Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).

Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science 

From 2014-2018, any graduate of our Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science degree at the Brisbane, Strathfield or Melbourne campus can apply for ESSA membership at the Exercise Scientist level. 

This accreditation also means that the course has been approved as providing the appropriate knowledge and skills to enter our postgraduate Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology course.

In Victoria, ACU is now one of only three universities with an undergraduate course accredited at the Exercise Scientist level.

Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology

From 2014-2018, any graduate of our Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology degree at the Strathfield or Melbourne campus can apply to become an Accredited Exercise Physiologist.

As an accredited exercise physiologist, you are eligible to apply for a provider number through Medicare, The Australian Government Department of Veterans’ Affairs, state-based Workcover, Comcare and many private health insurers, including Medibank Private, GMF Health, MBF, HBF, Grand United, NIB, CBHS, Teachers Health Fund, Australian Unity, HCF, AHM and Reserve Bank Health.

In Victoria, ACU is now one of only three universities with a course accredited at the Exercise Physiology level.

Semester 1, 2015 applications for the Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology are now open. Other postgraduate courses also open for application include Graduate Certificate in High Performance Sport, Graduate Diploma in High Performance Sport, and the Master of High Performance Sport.
