ACU staff, students and alumni keeping riders and crew safe at the 2017 Phillip Island MotoGP
ACU students and alumni made up a large majority of the medical team at the Phillip Island MotoGP in October.
Dr Joe Perry, Senior Lecturer in Nursing and Lyn Taylor, Lecturer in Nursing at ACU played an important role within the medical team at the recent motorcycle grand prix at Phillip Island. ACU students and alumni (nurses, paramedics or dual degree students) also made up a large majority of the team, and their contributions were instrumental to the safe and effective running of the team and event.
Joe and Lyn, who are in senior positions within the team, looked after the students well-being, and supported them throughout the event. "It is a pleasure to be associated with such an enthusiastic and professional group. Each one of them is an excellent ambassador for ACU", said Joe.
The next event will be the World Superbikes in late February. Expect to see ACU staff, students and alumni taking part once again in force, keeping the riders and crew safe.
