ACU Physio Students Volunteer at Relay4Life

Physio Students

Seventeen ACU Physiotherapy students volunteered their skills for some much needed muscle rub downs at the 18 hour Relay for Life overnight walk this year.

The 2012 Relay for Life was held on Saturday March 24th and Sunday March 25th and is organised by Cancer Council Australia. This year the event raised over $170,000 for cancer research with 604 participants taking part in the mammoth team walk at Gore Hill Oval in Sydney.

The School of Physiotherapy provided a first aid and massage stall for over 100 participants from 3-10pm Saturday and 6-10am Sunday morning. The Faculty of Health Sciences would like to say a huge thank you to all students and ACU staff and family of staff who helped out on the two days to supervise students as well as help with set up and pack up duties.

Well done team!
