Refereeing and Scoring

Refereeing Process

Completed papers or symposia submitted to the 6th International Catholic Educational Leadership Conference for optional full paper refereeing are forwarded to faculty members of the Centre for Creative and Authentic Leadership and other academics in the relevant field of study. The Director of the Centre's office retains a list of suitable referees on file. All refereeing is independent with no referee informed as to the names of the author/s or other referees.

Scoring Criteria

Referees will score each abstract/paper based on the following criteria:

  1. Demonstration of national and/or international relevance to educational leadership (20%)
  2. Clarity of purpose/aims (20%)
  3. Originality and interest (20%)
  4. Significance of findings/issues discussed (20%)
  5. Guidelines for formatting and submitting an abstract have been followed (10%)
  6. Relevance to conference theme (10%)
