Primary and Middle Years Technologies Professional Learning Workshops F – 7
Share the Spark is a series of Professional Learning Workshops designed to support primary and middle years teachers in implementing the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) Technologies Curriculum, Design and Technologies and Digital Technologies.
Developed and facilitated by the School of Education Queensland Academics and assisted by current ACU students, our workshops allow educators to get hands-on with technology and provide practical ideas and resources to use within the classroom immediately.
Each workshop is two-hours in duration and held after-school hours. Updates on the series of 8 workshops will be released throughout the school year.
Prototyping, design thinking and sustainability are all covered in this workshop where participants will be taken through the design process and discover how littleBits can support a creative response to an authentic design challenge
This workshop introduces the basics of Lego-Robotics EV3 and Lego Mindstorms programming and how, through an authentic scenario students in the primary years can be engaged in physical computing and coding.
