Annual high school photography competition is now open

The Pixel Prize competition is open to high school students in years 7 -12 from NSW, ACT, Vic and Qld who have a passion for photography. The competition encourages students to address a topical theme through a creative, visual medium. These young photographers will be given the opportunity to connect with peers that share their passion and are able to share their work with friends, family and the public.

The theme for The Pixel Prize 2016 photography competition is ‘My Generation’.

‘For each generation there will be songs, images and catchcries, inventions and discoveries, tragedies and triumphs.

Open your eyes to see the spirit of your generation. What does it look like? It is something that is yours and something that you share. It is that special quality that you can capture with your camera lens.

Show us the colour and perspective of your generation, the shadow and light that defines you. Show us what it was like growing up in the dawn of the millennium and the future that you walk towards.’

Students are asked to submit up to three photographs which speak to 'my generation' and what it means to them. Entries will be judged by industry professionals and the best works will be displayed in ACU campus galleries in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

There are also prizes in a range of categories. The closing date for entries is 1 August 2016. Further details can be found at
