Engagement requires us to develop partnership relationships that are mutually beneficial and reciprocal. The university gains experience and information inputs that enrich teaching, learning and research discoveries from community partners who have invaluable and essential expertise, knowledge, wisdom and ideas.
The community is strengthened by interaction with and knowledge inputs from students and staff in ways that increase the capacity of communities and individuals to engage in productive action and problem-solving in their own communities.
