The program is purposefully structured to draw out both unique and common experiences of the participants. The pace is provocative and inquiring and aims to challenge participants to review their own ideas about of their industry, organisations, departments and teams. This approach exposes both valuable common problems and valuable common solutions across and within organisations.
The teaching in this program makes use of an approach described as "perspective taking and sense making". The knowledge is delivered through perspectives designed to disrupt the participants' currently held assumptions and to challenge their thinking. Once challenged the facilitators support participants to make their own sense or understanding of the new knowledge in a way that best fits their values and preferences.
Participants return to their organisations as a critical mass of leaders who have, together given deep thought to their businesses and who can now be a force for change in overcoming the natural resistance to new ideas. As a result they are now able to strategise and influence their organisation more effectively, positively and constructively.
