Wednesday 27 September, 2017 – Catholic Leadership Centre, Melbourne
'Safeguarding Children: Leading Change’ is a one-day session for those involved in child protection. The workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to share research, learnings and practice; and identify areas of strength and capacity among the broad range of Catholic organisations.
The Specialist Worker Session is supported by the Institute of Child Protection Studies (ICPS), that conducted research into children’s safety in institutions for the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. ICPS is a nationally recognised centre of research excellence in the area of child, youth and family welfare.
This specialist session is suitable for those involved in, or responsible for managing individuals involved in, child protection in Catholic Education; Diocesan child protection units; Congregational and PJP Ministries; and other Catholic agencies and services including volunteers.
