Student Support

We understand that success means different things to different students.

We are committed to our students throughout their educational journey and beyond. The Indigenous Higher Education Unit (IHEU) also provides a welcoming and culturally safe space for students to study, gather their thoughts, rest and reflect.

IHEU staff on each campus offer academic, personal and cultural support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

In addition to the support provided by the IHEU, ACU’s Office of Student Success offers personal and academic skills advice, career development and counselling services and support for people with special needs or disabilities on each campus.

If you are interested in studying at ACU please contact staff at one of our IHEU's and they will assist you with further information on our courses and the multiple pathways to becoming an ACU student.

IHEU staff also support Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander students when applying for Scholarships and Bursaries and when accessing the free tertiary tuition.

At ACU we celebrate significant dates on the "Indigenous Calendar" to reinforce our strong cultural connections. IHEU staff also provide details on community events outside of Australian Catholic University.

ACU offers many opportunities to broaden the student experience, including Sport Health and Wellbeing.

The Student Association offers many social events to students.
