Away From Base (AFB) is a national program which is a practical option for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

About this program

AFB involves studying via online learning combined with intensive residential blocks twice a semester. Tutorial support is offered free of charge in face-to-face, online or group tuition sessions, or a combination of delivery modes.

Government funding supports the travel, accommodation and meal costs for AbStudy compliant students participating in the intensive block.

Prospective Indigenous students may apply by direct entry to one of the listed undergraduate programs currently on offer at ACU.
