2006 Forum Program
Professor Peter Sheehan AO, Vice-Chancellor welcomed participants to the Forum and provided Opening Remarks.
The Forum was divided into the following sessions and topics:
Session One: Community Engagement – What’s it all about?
Topic: ACU as an Engaged University
Topic: Engagement and Mission in a Contemporary World
Session Two: Community Engagement – The Value of University/Community Engagement
Topic: Community Engagement – The Community’s Perspective
Topic: Community Engagement – The University’s Perspective
Session Three: Community Engagement – Moving from understanding to action
Topic: The Meeting of Community and University – Moving Forward
Topic: ACU – A Leader in the Community
Small group discussions between Forum participants took place following each Topic. A Plenary discussion with panel members, moderated by Professor Michael Bezzina, followed each Session.
Professor Sheehan provided Reflections and Brother Julian McDonald cfc AO, Chancellor provided Closing Remarks to conclude the Forum.
