Creative and Authentic Leadership
The Flagship for Creative and Authentic Leadership continued to undertake research, support scholarship, establish networks and partnerships and provide service to the professions and to the community in Leadership based upon the University’s Mission and core values. The areas of focus in Leadership are:
- Moral and Ethical Leadership;
- Leadership for Social Justice and Social Responsibility;
- Emerging Leadership Paradigms; and
- Leadership Formation and Effectiveness.
Among the main aims of the Flagship are to:
- promote and support a research agenda developed in partnership with key stakeholders in leadership at all levels;
- assist organisations to analyse their leadership challenges using values-based and ethical frameworks in order to integrate values and culture into policy and decision making;
- assist organisations in general, but especially values-oriented human-service organisations, to develop improved leadership practices for mission effectiveness;
- engage multi-disciplinary research teams from within ACU National and involving members of the Flagship outside the University, to respond quickly and effectively to research and funding opportunities;
- design and deliver short courses and renewal programs on leadership;
- act as a clearinghouse for the development, collection, evaluation, and dissemination of contextual examples of theory and best practice in leadership;
- strengthen the reputation of ACU National for excellence in scholarship through research, publications and consultancies.
Management of the Flagship
The Flagship has an Advisory Board consisting of eminent leaders from the areas of business, health and education. It is managed on an ongoing basis by:
